Foam cannon dilution guide for car shampoo
The right dilution gives dense foam and a lubricated wash, and it stops you overspending on chemicals.
Cloud Foam Shampoo ratios
- Foam cannon: 1 part product to 9 parts water
- Bucket wash: 30 to 50 ml per 10 litres of water
Ratios can shift with your equipment, water quality and how thick you want the foam.
Wash routine
- Rinse the vehicle to remove loose dirt.
- Apply foam from the lower panels upward.
- Let it dwell for 2 to 4 minutes without drying.
- Rinse, or contact wash top to bottom with a clean mitt.
- Dry with a clean microfiber towel.
Pro tip
Wash on a cool surface and never let foam dry on the paint.
